Happy Monday! I spent this morning teaching an online private lesson to a lovely student in New Zealand (one of the winners of our caption competition on Facebook last month!). I’ve been working hard on three choreographies for myself in the studio, but I think today is a day for some play - I’ll be working on improvisation, technique, and some online classes from some teachers that inspire me just for the love of it. I’ve found the best way to keep my dance on track is to schedule some solid, intentional practice 4-5 times a week, and also give myself at least 10 mins on each of those days to just drill or dance whatever my heart desires then and there! Then, when I have time, the other couple of dance sessions a week actually have no goal, as such - they’re there for the joy of it. 💖 Photo: @pigeonperception in Montréal, Canada. #buikdans #dançadoventre #greenstonebellydance #bellydancestage #bellydancersofinstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/Bn08B_Ni_12/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1919k9izxuh0n
