Don't Let Me Fade || bemyraggedyman
It was a sharp pain at first, just shooting through his leg, just the left one, which made him stumble as he was spinning around the TARDIS console. “It’s fine, just hit my leg.” He told Amy, who had looked at him funny. “It’s nothing.” He reassured her. But it moved up his leg, into the other one, but he kept standing. He had promised Amy a planet and he couldn’t go back on that now. “We’ll be there in a minute.” He pressed a few more buttons, finally landing the ship. Amy was already off at the door, waiting for his signal that she could go outside and what was out there.
“It’s like Earth.” He told her, focusing on the clicking of her boots on the TARDIS floor as she danced around, eager to go outside, and the whirring of the TARDIS as it landed, and the shuffling of his shoes on the floor as he tried to not show that there was a pain – no not a pain it was as if his legs were fading or they felt fuzzy, but not like when your feet fall asleep. “And I think it’s spring.” Whatever this pain was it wasn’t going to kill him, he’d be fine, although he gripped the TARDIS railing pretty tight as he walked down the steps, shoes clacking on the stairs. “Go out, I’ll be there in a sec.” He told her.
His head felt fuzzy, not overwhelmingly, but it was a faint fuzziness. He wasn’t allowed to let Amy down anymore, so he went on, slowly and hoped that Amy wouldn’t want to run around, cause that he couldn’t do, not today. He followed her out, and locked the door, leaning against the TARDIS and trying to see if this pain would pass and tried to get some strength back.
