I spent 3 days working and learning in a wonderful academy for illusion and wall painting in Munich. I enjoyed my stay so much and I really admire my mentor and teacher Mrs Benad. She‘s amazing! Well after 3 days working everyday 7 hours on a new painting technique I really need a bit of rest. But I want to show you how real the faux wood painting looked at the end For this project I chose four different colors of brown. I chose a dark brown, honey brown, medium brown and light brown. To start….I painted the darkest brown any place that would have natural shadows. That makes sense….right? If this was real wood….the indentations would look darkest. Adding a honey color is so important because it warms up your piece and really creates the illusion of wood. You can actually see it transforming to wood right before your eyes and it‘s amazing! Thanks so much for this experience Martin and Ursula Benad! They are doing an amazing job with this school and I‘m so grateful to have the chance to learn @munich.germany @munich.art.collector @paintillusion @wallpaintingart #munich #academy #benad #wallpainting #illusionpainting #swissartist #art #studio #germany #painting #paintingillusion #wood #fauxwood #woodpainting #nature #structure #acrylicpainting #exceptional_pictures #skyartphotography (hier: Munich, Germany) https://www.instagram.com/p/BpPRmdtBTL7/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1b6elct8s9g0a
