Dear Bran,
Thank you. Thank you for bringing me a glass of water before we go to bed every night. Thank you for doing the dishes. Thank you for staying up with me. Thank you for putting me to bed. Thank you for putting up with me. Thank you for never putting me down. Thank you for buying tooth paste when we’re out. Thank you for introducing me to Italian creme coffee creamer. Thank you for telling me you love me. Thank you for smiling at me when I come home. Thank you for making me feel good about myself. Thank you for teaching me about that spot on my back that I just love to be nibbled. Thank you for making the bed. Thank you for always supporting my ideas even when I know they’ll be failures. Thank you for letting me wear your class ring even though it’s too big. Thank you for putting gas in my car on our road trip to table rock. Thank you for caring about your friends. Thank you for introducing me to your family. Thank you for becoming my family. Thank you for laughing at my dirty jokes. Thank you for cuddling me in the morning. Thank you for making me get out of bed. Thank you for telling me the truth. Thank you for hopping in the shower with me. Thank you for blowing eyelashes off my cheek. Thank you for holding my hand. Thank you for eating the rest of my food when I’m full. Thank you for laughing at me as you tickle my feet. Thank you for ice cream. Thank you for reassuring me. Thank you for wanting me to come home. Thank you for folding my laundry. Thank you for moving my car instead of making me do it. Thank you for letting me wear your clothes. Thank you for showing me where you work. Thank you for sharing with me your dreams. Thank you for sharing with me your fears. Thank you for hugging me before I go to work every morning. Thank you for not getting jealous when the puppy follows me around instead of you. Thank you for picking up after her when she poops on the carpet. Thank you for forgiving me. Thank you for keeping me sane. Thank you for accepting me when I’m not. Thank you for letting me be me. Thank you for being you.
Thank you for sharing your life with me.
Thank you for loving me.
Thank you. I love you, always and forever.
–Mr. Benjamin.
A note to the one I love
I don't know where you came from. I don't know how I got so lucky running into you that chilly October night. I don't know how I deserve to have you in my life, to light up my world. There's so much I don't know, but there are a few things that I do. When it rains, you are there with an umbrella. When it shines, you are there with a picnic. When the sky turns black and the winds howl, you are there with a sweater. When the world seems to close off, you are there with a key. When I feel like cuddling, you are there with your arm. When I am left suffocating, you are there with fresh air. When I feel like singing, you are there with Stevie Nicks. When I am sick, you are there with some tea. When I am tired, you are there with a pillow. When tears stream from my eyes, you are there with your shoulder. Whenever I need you, you are here with your love. I guess what I want to say is, I am here for you too. I love you so much, Bran. Always and forever.
