fun fact: carly really wants to be a magistrate. not a judge, since those are elected positions and she has exactly ZERO interest in getting anywhere near politics, but a magistrate, which is an appointed position. she has to have a few more years of practicing law to be eligible, but once she has that and a position opens up, she'll be all over it.

CARLY "RELEVANCE OBJECTION" KNIGHT. 27.

has three older siblings (NEEDED), a twin (NEEDED), and two younger siblings (NEEDED). her parents (ALSO NEEDED) obviously had issues staying out of each other's pants. 

was very sick as a kid, in and out of the hospital, almost died when she was 16. she has one of her twin's kidneys, and long story short, she will never actually be able to carry a baby. sadface.

works in the local family court as a defense attorney for the juvenile offenders (mainly- but also as representation in civil cases regarding juveniles, like custody cases). she does a lot of guardian ad litem work. she loves it but she hates it but she loves it.

has only ever been with finn knight he's her other half, childhood sweetheart, etc etc and even though she tried to break up with him once a v long time ago she would never actually leave him.

makes bad jokes about dying. she's still sort of convinced she'll die young, and because of this frequently does dumb shit because she feels like it- she thinks she might not get a chance to later. what if late never comes? she lives a very #YOLO life

loves everything. and everyone. she's really easy to get along with. most of the time.

relies heavily on sarcasm and bad off-color jokes (not racist jokes, just things most people wouldn't say because it's impolite, but carly doesn't give a shit.)

wants a pet bat. like really badly. instead, she settles for a turtle named captain and a kitty named dog.

secretly does not feel very much like a woman, so she enjoys going out with friends and doesn't really care when they make fun of her for wearing heels everywhere.

i would super love a good group of people who all work at the family court, in various capacities- other defense attorneys (that's what carly is, she's obviously not the only one!), some prosecutors, deputies, judges, magistrates, etc. etc. and they all bond over how dumb some of these kids are in their life choices and yes. plz.

THE FLYNN FAMILY [and clingers-on]

so this is my official request for carly's family.

mom and dad were careerpeople until they started having kids and had too many to bother with a babysitter, so mom became a stay-at-home mom while dad continued his career as [insert important/professional career here, idk]. family is very important to them, and dad basically blackmails all the kids into coming over for dinner once a week, every thursday, even though they are all grown up now. they may have hit a bit of a rough patch when carly was sick. (probably did, actually.) mom and carly get on... alright, it's mostly a cold relationship, but carly and dad are flat-out hostile. he's like the one person on the planet she flat-out does not get along with.

now for siblings. i want this to be as open a request as possible, so i'm not going to assign any of them names or genders. the ages are just suggestions and can be flexible, to a point. (ex: if i say someone is 30, don't try to make them 24, okay?) the last name would be flynn, though if you're making a female and she got married it can obviously be changed. as a whole, they get on very well with one another, though as with any large family, some are closer than others, some gravitated toward certain others, etc., but they all love each other, and bond over being forced to attend weekly dinners. i see most of them as having professional~type careers, or being on their ways to such, but you can pretty much do whatever with them.

i've got carly knight, a 27-year-old juvenile defense attorney that also frequently does guardian ad litem work. she's married to indie's finn knight and they'd grossly adorable because they've been together pretty much since they were in diapers. she was a very sick child, almost died on a number of occasions, but has been healthy since she was ~17. she's super sweet and loves everyone and just finds everything excited. she's lived in a constant state of YOLO her whole life, and takes almost nothing (except her job) seriously.
