Hearing about release of new VE book made me remember how I was so sad when the series ended. Like, we hadn’t enough of other characters like dietfred, lux. At least we need akatsuki sensei to confirm the brother relationship between Violet and Benedict before we die 😭😭 .
I don’t know, I think we got enough of Dietfried to know what we need about him, but I totally wish we knew where Lux is from and how she ended up in the cult. I also wish we knew more about Cattleya. She apparently had a boxer era and she was the youngest of 9 kids, as far as I remember, but that’s all we know of her. We also know jack shit about Hodgins. It’s really a pity.
As for whether Violet and Benedict are real siblings or not… damn, that’s probably what makes me the most mad about not knowing which one it is. I know we’re supposed to imagine our own conclusions and that either way is fine because they’re siblings at heart now, but fuck me, I still wanted to know more about their past and how they became like this. Shunkashuutou offers hints of this with Rindou and Nadeshiko (I’m pretty sure Nadeshiko’s design is a child version of the woman that Benedict saved in his Gaiden chapter, except brunette instead of blonde), but I still wanted concrete answers. 🥹
