I just listened to the French dub of Wednesday, to see what it looked like...

J'ai pu tomber sur le special en vf bon malheureusement pas le début mais le moment où Toxinelle lit le journal de notre Marinette. Et j'ai pas mal apprécié la performance d'Anouck Hautbois en tant que Toxinelle. Elle avait un ton plus ferme et froid par rapport à la va. Quand à Benjamin Bollen, il montre une fois de plus qu'il a le bon équilibre pour doubler des cinnamons rolls et des petits bâtards. La scène où Griffe Noire parle de la perte de sa mère, tu sens la colère et la rancoeur de ce dernier. D'ailleurs même dans celle d'Antoine Tomé, y a quelques subtilités au niveau de la voix que j'ai apprécié. Sinon j'en avait pas parlé dans mon avis sur le special paris. Mais est ce qu'on peut parler de la gestion de la lumière pendant cette épisode ? Je crois que j'ai jamais vu Paris aussi beau la nuit, la scène avec Griffe Noire qui joue avec les poupées ou bien les scènes où Marinette et Adrien parlent à leur alter ego laissant place au lever du soleil à la fin.

I was able to catch the french dub for special episode of Paris, although unfortunately not the beginning, but the part where Toxinelle reads our Marinette's diary. And I really appreciated Anouck Hautbois' performance as Toxinelle. Her tone was firmer and colder than her english voice. As for Benjamin Bollen, he shows once again that he's got the right balance for voicing cinnamon rolls and little bastards. In the scene where Griffe Noire talks about losing his mother, you can feel his anger and resentment. In fact, even in Antoine Tome's scene, there are a few subtle touches to the voice that I appreciated. I didn't mention this in my review of the Paris special. But can we talk about the light handling during this episode? I don't think I've ever seen Paris so beautiful at night, the scene with Griffe Noire playing with the dolls or the scenes where Marinette and Adrien are talking to their alter egos giving way to the sunrise at the end.

Kitty on the roof - Voice Actor Appreciation

I really love Chat’s song in French and English. I wish I could have a full song of both versions to be honest! They’re both so sweet sounding. Something about Bryce’s voice though, it makes me feel differently from Benjamin’s. Benjamin’s is adorable, has an energetic lift to it that makes it very much Chat Noir, but Bryce’s sounds more... vulnerable? It’s like Adrien isn’t wearing a mask at all there. Benjamin’s makes me smile, Bryce’s makes me want to cry.

gAH, I’m so torn up over this character and props to Benjamin and Bryce equally for it! I really love both their work and can easily watch ML in either language!

Decided to watch the first season of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. I became an instant fan! Love Cat Noir and his puns!!! Now if you excuse me, I’m going to binge watch the entire series :3
