Enough was enough. Mary could deal with not having freedom, with pretending she actually enjoyed some Death Eaters' company and that she agreed with them, but she would never ever accept the fact they wanted to hurt Minnie. Her former professor was a wonderful woman, she had done nothing wrong, and she wasn't going to walk away like any of this was okay. Of course she had made her father a promise, but at the moment she couldn't give a fuck. Minnie was family and she was going to protect her no matter the cost.
When she saw another girl tearing down one of the posters, Mary couldn't help it to take the best of her and follow the example. Ignoring the crowd and the mixed reactions, she continued with the task as if her life depended on it. She was tired of living with fear; she hadn't been raised to follow that asshole. In fact, her father had always told her that she should follow her heart and it kept telling that she should do the right thing.
Soon they were joined and the posters fell one by one forgotten on the ground. This wasn't going to end well, she knew that, but she also knew that she had to make sure Minnie was safe. Mary didn't pay attention when the Death Eaters arrived, completely focused on tearing the posters down, until she felt a hand taking hold of her wrist. "Get off me!"
