"Grandparents provide children with a plethora of the essentials they need most. “They provide comfort, lessons in life, unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, and most importantly, ice cream and cookies.” My favorite memories are from Grandmas' house in Orem. Oh, how I miss them, but know their legacy lives on through me and my siblings. I painted this oil on canvas portrait for My Grandma on April 24, 2016. She held it so tightly in the last years of her life. In the end, it was all that she took to her rest home from the plush house she left behind. It brings me great joy to know that my God-given talent brought some comfort to her as she waited to return and be with grandpa.
