The Lady that goes by "L" came by the lodge once more, trying to clear the air on what she has learned about the crystal once it was stabilized in the prior meeting. She explained that the noise was most likely produced to the crystal's aether being knocked off balance, the same noise which probably attracted the attention of those armored zealots from about a moon ago. Now that the crystal is in balance, however, there /shouldn't/ be any more noises to worry about...

"L" believes that these unknown crystals could be soul crystals that the dragons of eld either made, transformed into, or some other method which still eludes her. She hopes that cross referencing knowledge on soul crystals that are scattered across the the land may help in figuring things out, but only time will tell if this avenue will bear any fruit.

A white-haired viera suddenly chimed in to state that perhaps these supposed dragon soul crystals behave differently as they derived from a different planet entirely, dubbing the object "Dracoteria" out of nowhere. As "L" was giving this notion some thought, yet another white-haired viera appeared out of nowhere, looking identical to the first. Twins, were they? The pair of viera seemed rather interested at hearing about the new crystal, wishing to probe and drill into it to learn of its physical properties more accurately, causing "L" to panic and dismiss the idea completely, fearing that such brute-force methods may very well destroy any knowledge contained in the crystal.

After much bickering, the group finally came to an agreement to keep the crystal intact until the Huntmaster decided what was the best course of action, letting "L" breathe a sigh of relief if only for just a moment...

That L lady came around the lodge again asking how everyone was and about the crystal. She looked a bit surprised when we mentioned the knights that attacked the lodge once the crystal made that shrill noise, but she seemed to have quickly glossed over that when Jacq mentioned how the crystal reacted to fire... Told her I would break the thing if it caused any further harm to the people at the lodge and she snapped out of her excitement, if only for just a moment. 

We escorted her to the bathhouse where the crystal was being kept cold in a bath of icy water. I picked it up so she could have a better look at it. She looked like she was a few seconds away from... nevermind. She looked excited. Jacq told her about how she slowly applied some fire to the crystal to get it in this state, and Valdis mentioned trying the same method on her own with no results...L started blabbing about umbral and astral elements, guessing if we applied some astral-aspected fire onto the crystal that already received umbral-aspected fire, that something different may happen.

Just as they were about to try it, that quiet Qestir huntress came barging in as she usually does. She seemed drawn to what they were doing near the bath, managing to produce some fire-aspected aether of her own. Valdis and the Qestir worked together to shoot the crystal with balls of fire, failing to do the first time, but hitting it head-on the second. T

The Qestir passed out, probably from aether exhaustion or something. There was a loud dinging noise on impact, getting me on edge thinking if those knights were nearby and if they heard it. No one did come by luckily enough, and the crystal seemed to have cooled down too... But I still wasnt letting her walk out of the lodge with it. She seemed understanding about it and mentioned getting some of her equipment to start examining the crystal more closely, so it sounds like we may be able to keep tabs on her more easily and see if she's still hiding anything,

Oh. And the Qestir attacked me when she couldn't find her axe and when the others suggested she take a bath. I threw her into one of the baths to give her time to cool off... not the one filled with ice.

Flynt waited for everyone available to gather to provide his input on the situation after being properly updated on what has occurred thus far. Flynt initially wanted to use the crystal as bait to lure out the zealots that attacked the lodge and its members, but Raik chimed in to warn him of the unknowns of the situation, possibly being too risky for such an idea.

Ritsu suggested that a false crystal be used as bait to lure them out which sounded more promising than using the genuine one to some of the hunters. One also mentioned that the zealots grew either intimidated or suspicious of one of the lodgers, Lunarin, when they struck a decisive blow in the fight, uttering things such as "could he be the one?" Flynt didn't know what to make of it, but would keep it in mind for another time...

After spit-balling several ideas, Flynt thought it best to tackle the situation from several different angles. He asked Lunarin to fashion a device to mimic the sound the crystal made just before the zealots arrived, and accepted the offer of them transferring some aether to the fake crystal once it was obtained. He gave permission to the Ironharts to do non-invasive research on the crystal whilst keeping an eye on "L" as they did so in an attempt to learn more about her intentions. He also accepted the offer from Alberic for them to scout out the Forelands to see if they had any luck in finding a similar crystal, taking note of Ritsu' warning to be careful of possibly running into the Zealots that could be out there.

All that was left was to find a way to fashion a fake that looked real enough to fool the zealots, the group dispersing after the orders were given.
