She hated this situation they were in...
Gwynivere loved Tenor...loved his entire family. And it broke her heart every time she came to pick her up. She could see the sadness in Tenor’s eyes whenever he handed Gwynivere over to her. He tried to hide it of course, not wanting to upset their daughter. But she knew it killed him.
She didn’t want to keep doing this...having to pack up her daughter every weekend...ever holiday...deciding who got her when and for how long...
What could she do,though? She knew what Tenor would say...”Let’s be a family,Ellie.”
He had wanted her to move in with him when Gwynivere was born...to give their relationship another try. But she had said no. It was too much at once. Having a baby, trying to graduate high school, thinking about what they were going to do after graduation...
Now...now things weren’t so complicated, were they? They both had career paths they were on,they both were a little older and a little more mature...they should be able to be in a healthy, happy relationship together. So,what was holding her back?
A few months later... “No, its okay. I’m fine.” Claret stated on the phone. she let out a deep sigh and put her phone back in her pocket. The wedding was tomorrow.
“So dad I know that you want me to do something creative with my life, But Honestly I can’t. I have joined the body building career, and I am actually really excited to where it takes me. Of course I am still going to paint in my free time.” Claret explained. “Well, I am going to support you no matter what you do in life. As long as you are happy.”
Claret stood up and headed towards the door. Clementine quickly followed. “Clare, Don’t go.”
Claret agreed to go talk to Clementine somewhere, more quiet. “So what gives Clem? Why are you really here?” Claret smirked. Clementine let out a deep breath. “Honestly, I just miss you. You were my bestfriend. Have been for quite a few years. I don’t want to get married without you there.” “Clem, I can’t sit there and watch you marry her. I wont do it.”
“Well Claret, you don’t want to wait too long and miss the chance with him do you?” Tiger Lily asked. Claret shook her head. “No, but mom, What if its too late?” Claret responded. “Then you have a choice to make, either you ruin your friendship or you be happy for him.”
