Best Camera to START Vlogging!
Are you having trouble deciding which camera to purchase to START vlogging?
(Check out my camera)
Luckily, I have already spent vast amounts of time looking and comparing cameras that would be perfect for you!
I know you probably don’t have a ton of money to spend so you are looking for a beginner/intermediate camera. You also want as much “bang for your buck” as possible.
I was in the same boat when I started! This led me to look at all the major brands, such as sony, canon, panasonic, and nikon. After weeks of comparing and contrasting, I came up with a list of the best low price range cameras and the pros and cons of each.
Here are a few of the choices I came up with:
Panasonic G7
Pros:
Shoots 4K at 30fps!
Shoots 1080p at 60fps (very useful if you ever want to use slow motion)
Starter bundle comes with zoom lens
Very lightweight and easy to carry
Cons:
Plastic body, won’t be as durable long term
Panasonic doesn’t have a huge selection of lenses
Only 16MP, although that doesn’t matter when shooting video
Micro 4/3 cameras tend to overheat after long recording
Canon EOS Rebel T7i
Pros:
Brand new, released 2017
Shoots 1080p at 60fps
Option for T7i Video Creator Kit (comes with Rode Mic)
Canon has tons of accessories and lenses available
24.2 Mega Pixels
Cons:
Still no 4K!
Price point is a bit higher
DSLR cameras are heavier than Micro 4/3
Sony Alpha a6000
Pros:
1080p at 60fps
Sony has tons of accessories available
Cheapest of the three!
24.3 Mega Pixels
Lightweight and easy to carry
Cons:
Much older camera, released 2014
No 4K Video
Micro 4/3 cameras tend to overheat after long recording time
Keep in mind, when buying a camera you are also buying into that BRAND! It will be much easier to buy the same brand down the line, since all lenses and accessories are interchangeable!
