Ranger Danger // Pyrrha&Ruby

It had taken time, tears, and more cookies than most people would know what to do with, but eventually Ruby had come to terms with the fact that two of her teammates, nae, closest friends were no good, dirty rotten traitors! She was over it, really she was! They’d made their mistake, chosen their side, and she was determined to show there were no hard feelings as she did her best to crush them.

Fortunately, she still had one loyal friend.

“Pyrrha!!” Leaping up from the bench, Ruby barely wobbled as she made her way across the locker room, wrapping her fellow redhead in a quick hug. If she were being honest, out of all her teammates she was glad to have Pyrrha on her side. The only person she’d have preferred would be Weiss, and she was big enough to admit that that had nothing to do with winning. Pyrrha was the best of them, and they all knew it.

“Are you excited?”

Snow Much to do, Snow Little Time // R&P

Plopping herself down in the middle of the field to wait, Ruby went over her mental checklist, making sure she’d remembered to bring everything. Lumps of coal? Check. Top hate, check. Scarf, hopefully Yang wouldn’t notice it missing, but check. Carrots, hurt to buy, but also check. Step ladder, check. Snow? Taking a look around, she smile before adding an imaginary check mark next to that as well. In short, she had everything she needed to build the station’s largest snowman. The current record was seven feet, four inches, and she wanted to break it.

Just one problem.

Ruby was very, very small.

Ordinarily, her height didn’t bother her much. She was fun sized! And she had a decent amount of muscle packed away. There were times, however, that being short really got under her skin; trying to reach the top shelf, having to look up at Weiss, playing keep-away with Yang, and trying to break a record for world’s largest snowman. The ladder was a nice thought, but she couldn’t exactly carry a giant snowball up it without falling over or breaking it. She knew, she’d tried.

With that in mind, she’d tried to think of who she knew that was both on the larger side of tall, and had the strength to back it up. Not only that, but someone who was always willing to lend a hand, or in this case, a foot and a half. And of course, someone who was actually a lot of fun to be around. She could really only think of two people who fit her needs, and Jaune was just a bit to likely to trip and break the snowman, leaving her with the perfect candidate.
