This was our first time traveling to South India and we selected Karnataka as our destination. We came across many Travel companies but found Tripfriday was the best and arranged us a complete travel package that too at an affordable price. https://www.tripfriday.com/package/mysore-&-kabini
Day 1) We reached Bangalore airport and headed to Mysore and checked in at Regenta Central Herald. The hotel is located in the city center. The room is nicely maintained with all basic amenities. The Restaurant is excellent and caters to our tastes. Later we visited, Brindavan Gardens
Brindavan Gardens - At night there is a light and sound show with people walking around and fountains around make it a nice place to visit.
Day 2) We did local Mysore sightseeing
Mysore Palace- This was a beautiful palace with exquisite architecture, beautiful paintings, lavish grounds, and indeed crowded tourist
Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace And Museum- Good place to visit with any group and learn about Tipu Sultan’s era. Has a decent collection of artifacts, war paintings, and weapons. Photography wasn’t allowed inside which was the only disappointment.
Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary- Vast area covered with trees, lake, and informational boards. A 30 minutes boat ride will take you along the lake and you can spot countless nesting birds and crocodiles sunning on rocks and the rest of the time you can observe birds. There is a private boat option which will take 4 - 6 people.
Day 3) We checked out and departed to Kabini National Park and we checked into The Peepal Tree Kabini. It was located right across Kabini Lake, with good staff and decent food. Later in the evening we went for a jungle safari.
Day 4) Jungle safari in the morning and evening as well
Jungle Safari- Well Jungle Safari was worth it in our 3 outings we spotted a tiger once. Apart from that we spotted elephants, gaurs, sambar, and spotted deer. The forest is very well maintained and the guides were also good.
Day 5) Check out from hotel & departed to Bangalore airport
