What bugged me the most about the father's redemption arc (apart from the fact that it was a thing on its own... but it's kdramaland, so...) is that his assistant said that he's sacrificed his research to be with his son in the US as if it was something supportive loving parents wouldn't do??? Like your son was literally on the brink of death, of course you should go and visit him??? Like why was that a big thing??? That was the bare minimum he should have done after how he had treated him...

But no, let's just paint him as a good parent for being there for him when he almost died only for him to say later on that it was just a little accident and Chan should move on and forget about it??

i love watching blind wave because it’s 4 white guys with at least 2 married and at least one has a kid and they like weapons and stuff but then they’re the most fucking based ever. their doctor who series is my absolute beloved, thasmin was canon and they cared about everything but the fact that it was wlw /pos. they were like you know like. one of them was like i dont like doctors and companions in romantic relationships at all! age is weird!!! and im like yes that’s so fair! and then another one is like if my wife was trans i would obviously have to adjust and think how i fit into that but that doesn’t mean that you just stop loving people. like these are stereotypically not people i would think would have these takes but im so glad i found them and they do
