The Snake Pit is purposefully isolating young kids so they can build unhealthy resonance. They're told not to interact with others, so who else but their bey?
Shu was separated from kids his age, being surrounded by adults who define his worth by how strong he is. Then; when he has no one else, he merges with spryzen, becoming one.
Another example being Phi and Hyde. It's clear they resented eachother from a young age. And with how isolated the dread tower is, they'd have no one else except their beys aswell. Only surrounded by their parents absence and servants.
Basically: loneliness = unhealthy resonance
Everythings a metaphor to me so this could mean that dealing with things on your own or using unhealthy coping mechanisms is unsafe and can lead you to hard others.
