Despite it all, they like spending time beneath the trees. It remains as a strange sort of comfort to them, it simply feels natural to be there.
They sit against the trunk of a tree, with a parchment and a bit of charcoal, a cushion of fallen leaves beneath them. Just a few feet away, a small bird is perched. It takes shape on Eluréd’s parchment before it flits off into the dappled shadows of the trees.
The rest is filled in from memory, the scratch of the charcoal blending with the sounds of the forest.
It’s often that the elder twin escapes into the forest, to explore or simply to relax. They look over their shoulder, gaze quickly picking out Elurín among the trees.
