The 2016 Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival from start to finish was nonstop action and excitement. Act after act gave you breathtaking performances, and reminded you of what true Hip Hop is. As one of the city’s largest Hip Hop cultural events, the festival highlighted the positive aspects of the culture, music, film, academics, agent of social change, and the list goes on.
Hip Hop has evolved over the years and continues to evolve; it has given an out let for many who are under privileged to show case their creativity and ingenuity just to survive. The Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival serves as a sign that Hip Hop is here to stay. I was truly privileged to be in attendance this year.
