“we'll be the proud remainers / here till the morning breaks us / we run away from real life thoughts tonight... / when i watch the world burn all i think about is you...”
Name: Simba Bonfamille-Lyons
Age: 29
District: Two – Power and Masonry
Magic?: None
Occupation: Victor of 297th Hunger Games; Legion Soldier; Refugee; Codename: Tango
Opinion on the Games: Member of the Legion. Was recruited by Fox after his games and joined because he doesn’t want to live in a world where people are constantly fearing for the safety of those they love. Now, he fears for the safety of the one he loves most and will do anything to get him back, including take on the Capitol by himself if he has to.

Simba Bonfamille-Lyons, once known as Simba Lyons, once known as the darling of the Capitol.
A surprising Volunteer from Two, Simba stepped up not for a chance of glory, but to save his little cousin from being reaped. His volunteering caused controversy: some believed that he did it nobly, some believed he was lying for clout, but soon--all fell for his charm either way.
When he left the Games, Simba thought it would be done. He could go home and live peacefully with his mother and father.
That was not what happened. His Victory Tour ended with a very clear message from the Capitol: do what we say, or your family will suffer for it. Simba, filled with justified rage at the threats to his family, quickly turned his heart against the Capitol and the Games. Still, he did his duty. First, to protect his family. Then, to gain information from those in the Capitol that might be of use to the Legion.
However, the most important information would come from someone he did not loathe with every fiber of his being: Berlioz Bonfamille. Known son of a gamemaker and lesser known Legion member. The two were quickly entrenched in a secret love affair on both sides: the Legion would see it as compromising the mission and the Capitol would certainly not like to know their Victor’s heart was won by one person.
They got so close to their dreams, but at the last moment, the keycode that they had stolen from Berlioz’s brother didn’t work and the Capitol was set into a strict lockdown as they swept the city and the Districts for signs of rebellion. Simba, Berlioz, and Berlioz’s siblings, barely escaped the Capitol.
For years, they managed to make it to Enchantra, where they hid for several years. At first, it was bliss to be together--openly. They got married as quickly as possible and enjoyed their freedom. But soon, that freedom turned sour as another Hunger Games rose before them. Simba grew restless, going on more and more dangerous missions. Ber did his part, going on low risk supply runs.
Until a mission to District Six to supply winter clothing went awry and Berlioz was captured by the Capitol. It is certain they didn’t know who they had until they were back but now that won’t give him up.
For the last year, Simba has tortured himself, imagining what it is they are doing to his husband and pleading with the Legion to free him. The Legion has been reluctant: what is one Capitol citizen to bringing down the entire Capitol?
But to Simba: love is worth it. It is a hard thing to come by in Swynem, and for good reason--love gives the Capitol leverage over you. Still, love, above all, is worth it to Simba.
As both the Capitol and the Legion turn on him, what will Simba choose?
