To me, Cutiespace would likely regress to the toddler range, maybe a little younger. Also she doesn't use pacifiers often unless he's having a good day and their jaw isnt so bad. But it likes having super decorated custom ones anyway!

Regressor Vinestaff Headcanons!

It's very difficult for him to regress, she's so used to having to be in charge or take care of things or others.

Typically after very stressful events, they regress, around toddler to young child range.

Katana is also someone she trusts to regress around, especially since he's an older inphernal and is close with her (and Sling and Shuri)

She loves helping Slingshot bake, and taking a chance to steal the finished goods

Even when little she enjoys helping, but it's very easy to redirect their attention

Shuriken loves to make things with blankets and pillows with her. Which ends up with them falling asleep

Slingshot has a stuffed animal that she gave to her, it's her favorite thing to carry around

Venomshank enjoys watching over The Lost Temple, even if it mainly is so he can keep an eye on Sword and be there whenever he needs. Still, it has its benefits.

And it's curiosities.

Like now, the poor little deer is sitting alone on the outskirts. He looks around, seeing if anyone else is nearby in any manner. He doesn't see anyone, so he takes the opportunity to make his presence known next to him.

"Is something bothering you?" He asks, backing up a step when Medkit startles at his voice. He raises a hand apologetically.

"No." Medkit says quietly, refusing to look up at the deity. "I'm just… tired. That's all."

Venomshank nods, slowly sitting down next to Medkit. It's awkward, but he won't let that deter him. This is a friend of Sword's, and like Sword he notices the fact this isn't normal exhaustion. But more similar to how Sword gets when he acts like a newspawn. (Regresses, Sword corrected him one time, embarrassed.)

"Well, you can rest now. I don't mind." He says it softly, like he's trying not to spook the other.

It seems to work, because slowly Medkit leans over to rest his head on Venomshank's shoulder. He hums softly for the two of them, just sitting there. He wants to offer support, be soothing like how he is for Sword. A puff of smoke that Medkit doesn't notice, and he creates something in his hand. Like how he does for Sword.

"Would you care for a soother, fawn?" Venomshank asks, grabbing Medkit's attention as he holds out a pacifier. He would have chosen something else, but it had worked for Sword, so he figured it would work for Medkit too.

Medkit stares at the object in Venomshank's hand, leaning further against the deity before he slowly reaches out to take it. It isn't something he normally would let himself use, but he doesn't want to reject the offer. Plus… sitting here with Venomshank makes him feel safe. He nods and puts the pacifier in his mouth, immediately letting himself relax further.

Medkit feels Venomshank move a little beside him, then feels his arm wrap around him. It's comforting, calming. The entire thing was. He wonders if he might be able to do this more often.

Venomshank doesn't seem to mind being there for him like this. Medkit smiles a little to himself. Maybe he could.

Hai!! Of course! Little Sword with papa Venomshank!

Venomshank doesn't quite always understand what happens with his son, just like his son doesn't always understand what happens with him. But he is never one to complain about a chance to spend more time with him, outside of interfering during Phights that is.

So, when he has the opportunity to cherish his baby, he will.

It helps that he knows his baby will never outgrow him. It makes it so he can easily pick him up and swaddle him close. He'll wrap him up in the blanket Darkheart gave him when Sword was a baby inphernal

Sword coos at him, and Venomshank is drawn out of his thoughts. He smiles down at him, twirling his hand in front of his face and creating a puff of smoke.

Sword gasps, which turns to giggles and cheers as a pacifier appears in his mouth, arms wrapping around Venomshank's neck in a tight hug. He holds back onto Sword as tight as he can without accidentally hurting his baby.

"Was that funny?" He asks as softly as his voice allows him to, moving Sword in his arms to have him cradled against him, letting his head rest on his shoulder. "Did you enjoy that little trick?"

Sword nods, snuggling closer to Venomshank and then sighing quietly. "Fun papa…" He mumbles around the pacifier, eyes drifting shut.

Venomshank smiles, feeling lighter than he has in a while.

"I'm a fun papa, hm? Good." He whispers, pressing a kiss to the top of Sword's head. "I'll be the best papa for you, fledgling. I promise."

He coos softly, resting his cheeek against the top of Sword's head as he slowly rocks him in his arms. He starts to quietly hum, some song that he heard from Darkheart, using Sword's cape to wrap it around him like a blanket and making him further relax in Venomshank's arms.

"Get some sleep, little one. Papa will be here when you wake up."

May I have a phighting agere fic where a character is being comforted because they think their regression is embarrassing? (can be anyone)

Shuriken scrubbed at his eyes, sniffling quietly to himself. This was stupid. All of it. He wasn't supposed to get upset over tiny little things like Slingshot doing laundry and washing the blanket his big sis gave him. And he definitely wasn't supposed to be doing this stupid thing he always does when he gets upset of wanting Vine.

He's a grown Inphernal, he's too big for these kinda things. And yet it's all he wants right now and it's embarrassing.

So he sits in his room with the light off, sniffling and rubbing at his eyes harder until colors explode behind them.

"Shuri? What are you doing?" A voice calls out, and his head snaps up. He hadn't even heard the door open. Vinestaff stands in his doorway, hands on their hips. "I heard you sniffling in here."

Immediately he covers his face, curling back up into the ball he'd been sitting in before Vine showed up.

"Go 'way, sis." He mumbles, but he knows she won't. He can hear Vinestaff closing the door and walking over to him. She sits down on the floor next to him, her arm wrapping around his shoulder and pulling him close.

"Shuri… what's wrong?" Vinestaff asks softly, with her stupid voice that makes him tear up and sob. Throwing his body against hers and clinging to her clothes. He's blubbering and is so glad she doesn't even hesitate to pull him into her lap.

Both of her arms wrap around him now, the wooden one a firm presence at his back keeping him close.

"I wan' my blanket!" He sobs, and Vinestaff shushes him softly, rocking him in her lap for a moment before slowly standing up with him in her arms.

"Oh, my baby." She adjusts her hold, having Shuriken rest his head on her shoulder as she holds him, gently bouncing him now. "Your blanket needed a wash, little bug. Sling is making it all nice and clean for you."

She's right, he knows that. That doesn't mean he likes it. But his big sis is here so it's really all okay. He mumbles at her, squeezing the fabric he has balled in his hand. "'s stupid…"

Vinestaff rolls her eyes when he says that, tsking at him. "It's not stupid, bug. None of this is stupid. What is stupid, is you deciding to sit in a dark room alone instead of coming to me. Next time, come find me okay?"

Shuriken nodding against her shoulder, and only grumbling a little bit. Maybe it all isn't so bad with his big sis here. She always makes things better.
