i bought a book of paintings. i wanted alphonse mucha's book bc i like his style but it was sold out :((

i found this one. and i decided to get it bc i wanted to have an art book filled w ppl that look similar to me instead of relying on western masters yknow.

the angle is a little bit off, and it's def not perfect bc the ref picture was vv lighting core, and im still working on my shading. this is like my first traditional drawing in a while and it's making me fucking tweak.

i know high school me would strangle the shit out of me bc i was more determined then.

it's very interesting how the shadows of this piece melted into the background, but it does make the hair hard to pinpoint, or where the headdress and scalp part. I'm starting to think i like painting more than drawing or sketching. drawing drives me insane.

also bc i cant read the book, it forces me to observe the pictures more instead of reading 😃

damn why is art a process like cant i just generate it from brain to physical bro 😭😭😭 like ofc it's gonna look awful when it's my first time in a while 😭
