Things seen in Brussels.
It gets dark here very late (after 10pm), and light again very early (before 5am) - as someone whose sleep cycle is heavily driven by sunlight, this isn’t great on top of jet lag. Positive was we were up and about before many of the crowds were around.
Clever us seeing Belgium days before the Tour de France kicks off? It’s crazy with all the preparation works. Will probably be kind of crazier on Saturday when we leave since that’s the starting day.
We went to the Atomium, not previously knowing anything about it. It was built for the 1958 World Fair. And yes, you can go up inside the big silver balls - we did, but I took no decent photos from inside.
Today we hire a car (!!!) and drive to Ypres.
Am I the only one who still remembers Hamtaro??
I NEVER KNEW THAT THIS HAMTARO GAME EXISTED AND I FOUND IT ON EBAY EBAY AND NOW IT IS MINE AND I'M EXCITE. THE HAM HAM'S. I NEED THEM TO BE POPULAR AND NOTICED AGAIN.
We are not ones with small plans
A garden to call "home", Mr. Frodo.
