today's motivational post of the day is

me & my brother just spent 30 minutes trying to get a spider out of the bathroom. we wore gloves and used a sheet of paper to push the spider into a coffee mug. we were screaming throughout the whole ordeal.

‘ i told you, you’re never too old for tea parties. ‘ (i had to adjust it to be more realistic)

       “of course i am.  i’ve told you that plenty of times.”  tegan’s sitting on the floor, one leg tucked under the other.  their hands rest against their top leg, though their face isn’t as comfortably soft as the rest of their body.  “i’ve grown out of tea parties years ago.”  not...not of choice.  tea parties were for children---something that they never got to experience.  they aren’t a kid (haven’t been for a long time).  tegan’s forgotten how at this point.

“maybe you should put it up.  i don’t---no tea parties.”  their hands come up to rest on their arms---right on left, left on right.  it’s a self-hug out of comfort, the storm in their head starting to form.  “maybe at a later time.  not now.”
