The drummer and bassist of Danger Danger were the first "famous" musicians I met; I met them in the breezeway of Nassau Coliseum after the Mötley Crüe show in 12/89. I also met Gerri Miller of Metal Edge that night, and she was pretty much my journalistic idol and I told her so.
Fun fact: The synth blasts on the opening of this song are almost identical to those weaved throughout Roachford's "Cuddly Toy," a single by a Terence Trent D'Arby protégé from the year prior that I was super-into and that I have rediscovered in a big way lately, as those of you who are Facebook friends with me probably noticed. The way it flips the whole "He's So Fine"/"My Sweet Lord" riff is pretty brilliant.
