This island of #trees was formed as the world around it was taken by lava. I wonder how long this tiny patch of life will be spared? Have you seen Hawaii's volcanoes? Here's the first of many lava photos to come! This one was made possible by @ParadiseHelicopters who took me right over the Kīlauea Volcano ocean lava entry on Hawaii's Big Island. It just started flowing into the ocean a couple of weeks ago for the first time in 3 years, so I feel pretty lucky to see it!
