Stop by BikeFlights.com and pick yourself up a sixer! We are excited to announce that our popular cardboard bicycle shipping boxes are now available in multi-packs of six.
“As soon as we launched our cardboard bike shipping boxes last summer, our shop and tour operator customers started asking us if they could purchase more than one bike box at a time to better meet their needs,” said BikeFlights.com’s Owner William Alcorn. “So now we’re offering Six Packs.”
Not only do Six Pack customers save time by being able to order six at once, but they also save $100 over the cost of buying six individual bike boxes one at a time. A Six Pack costs $199.95 plus $60 flat rate shipping within the U.S. for a total of $259.95.
BikeFlights.com cardboard bike shipping boxes are suitable for safely and affordably shipping bikes of many types. Each box has the following dimensions once assembled: 43 x 11 x 32 inches (110 x 28 x 82 cm). The box meets FedEx and UPS domestic size restrictions as well an important 330 cm/130 inch international shipping size limit, which means that it ships at the most economical domestic and international rates.
The six boxes in a Six Pack are shipped packaged together flat and unassembled to make it easier for customers to store the boxes until they are ready to be used.

Bike Shipping Boxes and Packing Materials Now Available from BikeFlights.com
BikeFlights.com’s new cardboard bike shipping box is now available for purchase after a year of development and testing. The box is suitable for safely and cheaply shipping bikes of many types.
“Having boxes available is just another way we are making bike shipping more convenient, reliable and affordable for cyclists,” said William Alcorn, BikeFlights.com’s Owner. “We developed the boxes after getting requests for them from our customers. Not everyone has their own personal hard or soft case or a shop nearby from which they can get a recycled cardboard box. Yes, you can still ship your bike in your own box or case, but now you’ll also have the option to use a BikeFlights.com cardboard box.”
In response to industry trends, the box was intentionally designed to make it easier to ship bikes with wider tires and longer travel. Yet at 43 x 11 x 32 inches (110 x 28 x 82 cm), the box still meets FedEx and UPS domestic size restrictions as well an important 330 cm/130 inch international shipping size limit, which means that it ships at the most economical domestic and international rates.
Robust, single-wall cardboard construction with three-ply corners makes the box durable while an internal full squish bungee system suspends a bike away from the box’s corners for more protection during shipping. A self-locking design eliminates the need for additional external straps and fasteners. The new box meets drop and shake testing standards per the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) Vibration and Shock (Test type 1A).
The prototype version of the box made its debut at Interbike in 2015. Since then, BikeFlights.com has finalized the design, completed testing and initiated production. All boxes are made in Oregon and are recyclable.
Boxes, including internal bungees and front and rear dropout spacers, are available for an introductory rate of $39.95 plus $20.00 shipping through the BikeFlights.com store: http://shop.bikeflights.com/Bicycle-Shipping-Box_p_30.html.
