On Saturday, October 18, 2025, another edition of Bike Kill took place in New York City. The annual event features people riding mutant bikes. What is considered a bike? Although technically, it should be a transportation device with two wheels, but it also seems to be open to interpretation as I saw people riding a scooter with many handlebars and a piece of medical equipment (a rolling IV stand). Bike Kill demonstrates that if you can ride it, it can be a bike. After hours of participants riding various bikes on a dead end street, the event came to an end with rounds of jousting, a DJ set, and people cleaning up the area.

I arrived on site after sundown and the gallery on my website features images I made at this year’s event.
