Hey, for that supporting your child by misgendering them post, what was wrong with it was that despite apparently being accepting of their child, the parent continues to refer to the girl as he/him instead of using the correct pronouns

.....is that a joke.  Like really honestly that has to be a joke.  There are parents in this country who beat their kids and kick them out on the streets for being gay.  People who commit hate crimes against their own children.  And you have a parent who not only accepts their child as transgender, but they are doing what they can to help that child be who they really are.  And people are upset because they used him instead of her a few times.

I know that I am not trans and I can't begin to imagine what that is like, but I also know that asking a parent to think of their son as a daughter or daughter as a son has got to take some getting used to, even if they accept it.  The fact that the parent agreed to let them get surgery makes me think that if this mistake were pointed out it would be taken into account and fixed accordingly while the parent adjusted.

My soap box rant is in no way aimed at you I'm just a little tired of everyone taking things for granted and being overly sensitive.  A comment which I'm probably gonna get hate for now but whatever

It’s absolutely crazy the things that people did, some of the things that still happen tbh. All because someone is Aboriginal. Its completely beyond my comprehension and makes me so ashamed of Canada’s history and some of the present state of affairs
