Genius Sports appoints Bill Squadron
Bill Squadron, a former president of Bloomberg Sports, has been appointed by global sports data technology company Genius Sports to the role of special counsel.
Squadron will be based in New York and use his experience and expertise in the field of sports data and analytics to help develop Genius Sports' business and strategy in North America.Genius Sports currently operates US offices in New York, Washington DC and Los Angeles, and has its only South American location in Medellin, Colombia.
The company has signed integrity service partnerships with the likes of Major League Baseball (MLB), the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) and Italian soccer's second tier, Serie B, in recent months. Squadron's decade of experience at Bloomberg as well as IMG and STATS will be put to use across all of Genius' core divisions, driving the delivery of data-driven solutions to sports, media and regulated betting markets.
