INDEPENDENT MP Billy Gordon has accused Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk of arrogance over her outright dismissal of his plan to tackle alcohol-fuelled violence. The State Opposition says the Queensland Premier must cut all ties to independent MP Billy Gordon, after revelations the Sport Minister's office wrote speeches for the embattled Member for Cook to deliver in his electorate. Mr Gordon said he continued to have confidence in the Premier's leadership and remains committed to her Government. Taxpayers have been paying to keep open the Torres Strait office of embattled Queensland independent MP Billy Gordon despite it being unstaffed all year. With the LNP and independent Billy Gordon publicly stating their intention to vote no, the legislation's success rests with Robbie Katter and Shane Knuth of Katter's Australian Party.
