WIP game :-)
I’ve been "working on" (neglecting) this OC project for a year and a half at this point. But finally… they have a chance at freedom…

He ruined everything with that hasty fucking sentence. Taken the moment in his rough grip and squeezed until it popped and bled all over him. His smile fades, replaced by utter mortification at himself, and he clasps a hand over his mouth as if it’d prevent him from saying anything else damning.

His heart beats something awful, threatening to burst. He wishes it would.

“Only once?”
“Only once. We ain’t even gotta talk about it after, I promise you.”

So, with his own calloused hands, he cups Pat’s face. And with his own chapped lips, he leans forward and closes the gap.

Their eyes meet again, and the look of discomfort on Pat’s face makes Billy want to break all of his own bones with a hammer. That’d hurt less.
