-To call those who are "just Americans" by some other specification would be redundant in that the term "American" implies that the lineage of a person who now lives in the United States originated in Europe. Adding the modifiers African, Mexican, Asian, etc. simply indicates that the lineage originated somewhere other than Europe (or perhaps a more specific place in Europe, as in Italian American). (There are blueberry pancakes and banana pancakes without the need for "pancake batter pancakes.")
-Ghettos are typically "the most dangerous places to live" because they are GHETTOS - places confined and identified by socioeconomic asperity. A combination of various negative cultural influences--especially poor scholastic and cultural education systems--for which no single race ought to be blamed, make ghettos what they are (i.e. not just a place were all the people of color happen to live).
-Essentially every month is "White History Month," as the majority of American history (and a good portion of "World History") is centered around white people. Non-whites have significant roles under the umbrella of "World History," but that does not mean that there is no focus on whites, nor that there ought not to be a selection of time dedicated to non-whites.
-This argument seems to be saying that singling out and/or celebrating a minority is insensitive to the majority, but the majority *is* the majority because it is inadvertently celebrated without being singled out. As though celebrating people who are left-handed were somehow unfair to people who are right-handed - for whom the world is already specialized.
-It is silly to think that only whites can be racist. But it is also silly to think that there is a sort of unfairness because white culture isn't celebrated apart from American culture as a whole.
**Except I neglected to consider Native Americans in my first point. It seems to be the case, rather, that "American" is not a means of identifying an origin like the others are. And that saying that all people born in America should be referred to simply as "Americans" actively removes outside cultures as opposed to uniting them.
