There wasn’t really any EASY way of doing this. With somewhat of a bitter humor, Muramasa wondered if he would ever be faced with anything that could be deemed ‘ simple ‘. Just because something was difficult was not an excuse to shy away though. He had never been a coward, and he wasn’t about to start now. If he was going to find the incarnation of his master and face him again - he wished to be BETTER than he had been. Not USELESS. Not worthless. If he was going to hold any sort of pride within himself, he had to better himself first. Since everything he had ever done in his life had been a mistake or a failure, this whole task of becoming ‘ better ‘ shouldn’t be so difficult. When the starting point was pretty much just above zero.
He wanted to pay his debts. There were a few people he OWED something. Kurosaki Ichigo. Kuchiki Byakuya. Senbonzakura. And - this woman. He had never learned her name, or if he had, he had forgotten it, since they had only briefly met on the WORST day of his life. Thinking back was almost too painful, but he did remember her kindness. She had healed his injuries, and had she not done so... Well, one could only guess. He knew he had not been grateful at the time, mostly because of what she had said to him. She had SEEN his sadness. A sorrow he was hiding from everyone - even himself. Having a stranger see right through him had frightened him. He knew he wasn’t going to be able to move forward until he had paid her back. He owed her his life after all.
For a while, he had been watching her, making sure to stay out of sight. He was trying to think of the best way to approach her and offer his services. A part of him ( a darker part ) had almost wished she would get into some kind of danger. So that he could quickly save her and be done with it. But, nothing happened to her. She was on her way home from a shop now, some groceries in a bag in her hand. She would pass the spot where he was hiding soon, so if he wanted to approach her - he would have to do it now. Drawing in a deep breath, he stepped out from the shadows. Not suddenly, and there was still plenty of distance between them. He didn’t wish to frighten her. Straightening himself up, he looked at her.
