"Shizun, what are you doing here? Are you okay?" Luo Binghe cried, rushing toward him. He reached out to help him up, but a rattling noise drew his attention downwards.
There was a chain anchoring Shen Qingqiu to the floor.
He dropped his hands in shock. "Wh-What's going on? Why are you…?"
"I'm fine, Binghe," he said quickly, his voice soothing as he reached out to pat the boy's shoulders. "And we will stay fine, as long as we don't provoke anything. It's just the dreamscape. All we need to do is—"
Before he could finish, he froze, eyes growing large as a shadow suddenly loomed behind Luo Binghe.
"Shizun…?" Luo Binghe prompted, furrowing his brow in concern. "What were you going to say?"
"Yes, Shizun. What were you going to say?"
Luo Binghe jolted at the new voice. It was gentle and smooth, yet it rumbled low, like cracks forming along an iced-over river—hinting at something dangerous swimming underneath.
Aka Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu encounter an older, colder Luo Binghe in the dreamscape.

Bingmei VS Bingge
Luo Binghe had everything, a harem, a palace ruler of the entire realm and yet it paled compared to those two. Why did that weak Luo Binghe have a shizun that looked at him like that and why...
Why was his shizun so cold.
Luo Binghe traveled to many worlds, one with his Shizun but all of them were cold, cruel and tried to kill him.
So he thought of that Shizun and found a world where it was different, modern. Luo Binghe found himself in a room a strange room with a black box with a light coming from it, it was illuminating a figure.
A dead figure.
Luo Binghe was confused and saw the body looked similair enough, gazing back at the box he leaned forward, did this cause his death?
His eyes widened as he read a small paragraph "Proud Immortal Demon way! Follow Luo Binghe the blackened protagonist on his conquest-"
He blinked, ignoring the dead body he tried to navigate the damn thing, pressing random buttons did something it appeared on the first page, he began to read his story...
Someone had either spied on him, or he entered a world where he was a work of fiction.
He gazed down at the body on the floor and hummed.
Focusing he imagined this man and slashed Xin mo.
He found himself back on Qing jing peak and saw it was night time,
he found a version of Shizun but he was alone- Luo Binghe saw the sword memorial and paused...this had to be that other Binghe's Shizun.
Luo Binghe sat crossed legged and meditated.
This one was dreaming and he was unguarded- a complete wreck.
And because of some insight from the other world all of this Shizuns memories were open to him. Including something called a 'system'...
He looked through all of the memories of this Shen Yuan who in fear only sought to appease the future demon lord to avoid his terrible fate.
If Luo Binghe wasn't watching and hearing Shen Qingqiu muttering outloud he would've been enraged that it was all a lie just to save himself.
But this Shen Qingqiu didn't just mend the relationship between student and teacher, he went above and beyond, he spoiled Luo Binghe. Had thoughts outloud about why someone could be so cruel. He even say Shen Qingqiu look at the mirror in disgust and criticise why someone like a peak lord would be so horrible to a child.
Luo Binghe had no idea how to take this, he dared hope and squished that down in a place and think over later.
He saw the pacing, the muttering the pain in the others eyes.
"Is there any other way?"
"Luo Binghe must go down the Endless Abyss."
This Shizun never wanted to, he bartered, yelled, screamed then sighed and once the moment came.
The timer flashing and even accidently stabbing his disciple, and the one watching saw the wounds and realised.
"Ah so thats how he figured it out." That Luo Binghe kept the wounds, his hands and chest showing a scar.
Luo Binghe had no such wounds, he never wanted to be reminded of his failures.
Shizun looked horrified and even more pained. His Disciple wasn't making it easier on him.
Shizun said some rubbish about heavenly demons that felt pathetic even to Luo Binghe's ears.
And once the abyss closed did the other fall to his knees unseeing. The 'System' gave him points then removed points for 'heartbreak' making the other give a chocked out laugh.
He watched as this Shizun became a ghost, calling out to Luo Binghe, digging his burial mound he had reforged Luo binghes sword zheng lang.
And on one night, he interacted with the system, Luo Binghe watched intrigued and saw how Shizun produced an object. He looked at it his hand smoothing over the lines of the green jade pendant.
Luo Binghe's breath hitched when he saw it, then the same burning anger.
He kept his mothers jade pendent as a barganing chip!
He almost tore into the dream almost screamed at him- then remembered the system whisper poison in this Shizuns ear.
Whenever he failed to co-operate it would show the same nightmare of being a human stick, using fear to keep his shizun on a leash.
Luo Binghe almost hated the system as much as Shen Qingqiu did.
Luo Binghe sighed, he could never fault a man for clinging to anything to survive. He glanced at Xin Mo, he understood the feeling...
After waking up, he realised with as much information as he could get, he made his decision. He was going to try things differently, he had no idea how the other worlds Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe got together, he read the Resentment of Chunshan and had a clear grasp of what happened with this in thought he could navigate the events and be able to have what he was owed. He would take what he deserved.
The heavenly demon had already made his decision.
He was going to steal this shizun for his own. He would kill the Luo Binghe of this world and take his place. It was as simple as that.
He used Xin Mo and travelled to the endless Abyss he was stronger than the Luo Binghe here, with seniority and experience unlike the other in that world he slipped through. That one he was his eqaul.
So when Luo Binghe entered the ruins, he was expecting to see the fallen skeleton of a demon with Xin Mo clutched in it's grasp and the Luo Binghe of this world take it.
What he never exepected to see, was that there were no corpses whatsoever, no fallen warriors, no decaying bodies and no sentinal with the sword.
Instead on the floor was a dark lump it's arm hanging from the sword imedened in the ground. Luo Binghe drew closer, surprised to see his own face pale and guant the life stripped away stolen by the sword.
The Luo Binghe of this world...died?
Luo Binghe stared at the sword in suspicion as he drew closer and could feel the straining and desperate pull.
This Xin Mo, was insatiable even his own sword quivered, one touch could destroy a person, or demon in a second. No matter what any Luo Binghe would've failed with a broken sword such as this.
The lack of corpses was telling, the swrod was starved it had no energy and was dying, anything in reach would be sucked dry.
The Shen qingqiu would've waited years, in fear for the return of his disciple who would never come because the Xin Mo of this world was unhinged. Most worlds were the same with only a few changes that changed the course of fate and the direction of outcomes.
In one world Liu Qingge was alive.
In one world Shen Qingqiu was kind.
And in this world, Luo Binghe failed, either he was too weak or the sword too strong, maybe this demon was too impatient trying to leave the abyss earlier than five years.
Luo Binghe raised his own sword his Xin Mo pulsed with demonic energy, disgusted at the weaken state of it's counterpart finally agreeing on something for once, Luo Binghe struck down and his Xin Mo sliced the other in two as it split and fell before distengrating into dust, too weak.
His sword if destroyed would've released thousands of resentful energy the screams of all of the souls Xin Mo had taken.
This one mearly fell to ash. Nothing, it took everything and left nothing behind.
Luo Binghe almost left the corpse then hesitated.
No one had ever loved Luo Binghe, no matter which life and he would always be abandoned. Luo Binghe picked up the corpse shutting it's open terrified eyes and mouth that was frozen into a scream.
Even though the eyes and mouth was shut, the srain on the face left the corpse looking haggared and old.
Luo Binghe slashed Xin Mo and found himself outside the Lou River.
His mother found him here and this was where she was also buried, he found a spot and grabbed a rock digging his own counterparts grave and making the proper buriel rites. He sat on his knees and prayed.
This felt different, he had planned on murdering this Luo Binghe, but he wanted to fight with honour and earn his place. But not to look a gift-horse in the mouth he saw this as a blessing.
This kind Shizun HAD no Luo Binghe to return to him...
And he HAD no kind Shizun to love him.
Maybe both can help fill the spaces in their hearts...
________________________________________________________
Shen Yuan hummed "Maybe that other version you saw, he exists because of you. it was your story that I read and maybe that other Shen Qingqiu too since we're both the same. I read that awful trash just because of you." he scowled as he saw the other puff up his chest visibly preening. "Seeing Luo Binghe as a sticky disciple I wanted to spoil him and protect him, you were just unlucky to not be the Luo Binghe on the other side, you could've been that disciple in that other world. It could've been you with Shen Yuan as a Shizun and another Luo Binghe without the kind one. One can't exist without the other. Without you I wouldn't be here."
Luo Binghe sat up his back turned to his Shizun, his hands trembled.
He's faced beasts, monsters humans or demons and never wavered but now- the trust his Shizun has in him, the relief that he wasn't going to rip him into shreds- no he would never do that.
That was Shen Qingqiu, he would never hurt Shen Yaun ever.
But that was the dilema, he wasn't meant to be here, this wasn't his world. This world was supposed to have a Luo Binghe one who was loved by his Shizun one that this demon lord had stolen.
He deserved this.
But in this moment, did he truly feel guilt, shen Yuan- Luo Binge he wasn't even supposed to know that name- knew the parameters of the system, know why Shen Qingqiu was afraid.
And he was ignorant that his little white lotus was dead, that he never escaped the endless Abyss, that the Luo Binghe beside him was an imposter.
...
He could feel Shizun wrap his arms around him "Doesn't that make us the same?" Luo Binghe gazed questiongly at him and felt Shizun look up at him.
"Both of us has warped ideas of the future, changing courses for a better outcome, you knew everything about me, the same way as I know everything about you."
Almost like, they were equels just the two of them, no one else could understand the choas of toeing the line to keep things balanced but reacting to your own ripples in the water.
Shizun suddenly tensed his eyes wide "You don't have a system do you?" Luo Binghe tilted his head "no. I do not."
He felt Shizun uncoil, relieved.
"Thats good."
Why? Luo Binghe's eyes narrowed "Does Shizun wish for me to destroy his system?" He would do it, he would tear that thing to shreds it had tormented his Shizun and made him do things he wouldn't do of his own free will.
Shizun paused seeming to consider then shook his head. "I've grown too dependent on it, it helps me cultivate in this world."
"You have me, what use is it?"
Shizun huffed, "I'm not some wife who would sit on the sidelines, I may not be the protagonist obviously, but I want to keep up and actually fight alongside you as an equel."
Luo Binghe let out a breath, amused. "So be it."
Shizun glanced away, he couldn't exactly say he wanted to be close to the action to see Luo Binghe in all his glory.
Luo Binghe: Shizun looks extremely dreamy today... I wonder what kind of beautiful things are going through his mind...
Shen Qingqiu, looking at far distances, slowly fanning himself and looking absolutely ethereal: FUCK THEIR WHOLE FAMILY!! SHIT ON THEM THEN BURY INSIDE OF A CRAPHOLE!!!!!! FUCK THIS WORLD AND SYSTEM TOO UNTIL THEY ARE OUT OF BREATH!!!!!!!!!!
people tend to forget that PIDW Binghe was a blackened stallion novel protagonist. He probably did so much worse than Shen Jiu. That's the point. He's a parallel of Shen Jiu through and through except this time he went over the line and lost his humanity. Stallion novels are about powerplay. Being able to do what you want with no consequences that's why PIDW readers loved Bingge. Bingge is a power fantasy of the readers. Bec everything in the novel was in his POV, it all seemed correct (1/2)
but in reality, Bingge was most likely a tyrant of sorts. Shen Yuan at the states it too. "The male lead of this novel, Luo Binghe, was neither the heroic, invincible-out-of-the-gate type, nor the loser, without-redeeming-qualities type, yet had managed to trend with tens of thousands of readers on Zhongdian Literature, influencing countless male fantasy novels afterwards to follow in its footsteps. He was the dark, vicious type." from BC Novels. Shen Jiu was bad but Bingge was way over the line
Yes! We’re not supposed to see Bing-ge’s actions towards SJ as justified or heroic; it’s a horrifying deed, and the fact that SJ deserved a punishment doesn’t make what happened to him any less awful. I think SV does a very good job of showing how things like that in fiction are okay because it’s a power fantasy and no one’s getting hurt, but SY (and if memory serves SQH too, although that might be from a fic I read, I don’t remember) is horrified at the idea that the things Bing-ge did might happen to characters who in this world are just... living people. With SJ a good chunk of that comes from the fact it might now happen to him, but he still seems very aware that the events he enjoyed or rolled his eyes over in the novel are now terrifyingly real. Bing-ge was the “good guy” because it was a stallion novel told from his perspective; that doesn’t make him the good guy in general.
