Bio-Network Scans
These are some scans I made for my bio-network project when I was first starting it a few weeks back. I was able to get pretty good use out of these and a few others, especially because the contrast on some of them is pretty good, but on the whole, I wish I had pushed them a little harder.
(Almost) Final Bio-Network Progression Images
These images are the near-final representations of my bio-network project for my digital media class. For the assignment, chose to show the progression of Hurricane Katrina because it represents a horrifying betrayal in the relationship between man and the environment. More to come.
Bio-Networks Update-
I think I finally finished my progression images after a new session of tweaking in Photoshop. I stuck with the Hurricane theme, but I shifted my focus exclusively to Katrina, as it was one of the most notable events this century. Katrina and her aftermath also represent a morbid intersection of life, morals, politics, and the impact of humans on our environment. These factors also helped with my decision. I created a VCR-esque template designed to make the images look like satellite photos, as well as adding some informational text overplayed on the images.
