ryan is trying to use Jackie, the more easily influenced twin and the one that was gonna be originally made into a little brother, like lamb uses Eleanor, jack gets in the way, he gets sent to persephone and made into subject aceryan tries to use him to be like a body guard for the two of them, ace refuses, ends up being taken to apollo and killed except it just puts him in the comahe has a bond with Jackie due to Ryan trying to get him to be like a guardian for him

and then tenenbaum waking him up (tenenbaum doesn’t really get swapped cause she has a similar role in both games) and getting him to the Atlantic express where he meets Atlas, who wants to stop rapture from falling back into tyranny, hasn’t been very successful on his own, and is genuinely a good guy
