on today’s very special edition of “hey mae, just got this new lens!”… a little backstory. this is a #biotar75mm that i have been searching and saving for, for the last 5 years. i had originally thrown money down on @meyer_optik_goerlitz kickstarter of modern version of oprema jena… sadly, tragedy struck and one of the main people behind it died in a car accident very shortly after the campaign was successful. def my condolences to his people. but on a selfish note that also meant no lens, and the firm that bought the company seem very vague about whether they would give anyone credit toward their orders… rising prices on vintage lenses meant that this kept being just out of my reach. finally found a vintage lens shop that had a pretty lovely version. was told it was the #exakta version. however it is the praktina, and i had to frankenstein two adapters. so sadly on 4/3 in my gfx there is a pretty noticeable hard vignette, but very usable in 2x3 as shown here… still have to get a tiny speck of possible fungus cleaned off of it, but damn, it makes a lovely image. still gonna see if i can get the company to honor something for the modern version though :). sorry long story… . . . #love #bestmodelever #vintage #vintagelens #zeiss #jena #biotar #75mm #praktina #gfx100s #fujifilm #astiasoft #filmsimulation #bokeh (at Enoch Chan Photography) https://www.instagram.com/p/ChKfjpnuPPy/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
