Aizawa refuses to leave unless absolutely necessary, and Mic ends up having to carry him a lot of the time.

But he doesn’t mind, because he enjoys the way Aizawa would scratch at the box to let him know he is listening.

And also because this way Aizawa is trapped and forced to listen to him talk.

The Noise Hashira and (former) Erasure Hashira

Yamada and Aizawa became pillars at the age of 20 after a tragic incident brought them together. They did their own missions, but occasionally they would pair up and travel about in search for the next demon.

At the age of 25, Aizawa was unfortunately turned into a demon against his will, but Yamada was able to subdue and knock him out before he could kill anyone. It took days upon days of discussion before the Demon Slayer Corps agreed to let Yamada try to 'tame' the demon Aizawa, and he swore in front of Oyakata and the other pillars that should the day arrive Aizawa kills a human, he will finish the job himself.

At 30, Yamada continues to travel with Aizawa by his side, in search for a cure that will turn his partner back into a human again.
