Matt just said that he really relates to Yeza on Talks. I know you have thoughts on Yeza being a boring character so does this interest you/change anything for you?

Hey, thanks for asking! I’m flattered you remembered me during that. I’ve been realizing that I really misnamed that post............I don’t actually think Yeza IS a boring character, I just wanted to explain why I thought his personality was the way it was and why I was interested in engaging with it on a meta level despite a few aspects of the audience (and cast) not finding it as engaging as, say, Chaotic Archfey Demigod, Crime Boss, Pirate Cultist, Agoraphobic #1 Mom and Escort, Dunamancy Prodigy/Possible Spy, Ass-kicking Actual Spy and other NPC fan-favorites. It doesn’t surprise me that Matt relates to Yeza, I think he’s said something to this effect before, as well (when he was with Sam on Talks?). Either way, though.....it doesn’t change my thoughts? In general, I don’t privilege cast opinions a great deal over anyone else’s when it comes to the show, certainly not when it comes to the likability/relatability/interest of characters. (I do like Yeza! Just not because Matt does). With more Yeza in the text of the show, or if I were to see a new and interesting read of him somewhere, sure, I’m always eager to evolve my reads of characters. But I don’t think this moment shook anything up for me to want to comment on at present.

So I’m seeing a lot of “top table is in love with Jester” posts. Even though it’s super obvious, has Fjord ever verbally said that he likes/loves Jester?

I’m actually not sure, and we can talk about like... y’know. Statistics. I think maybe it was more a Talks Machina discussion, mayhaps? Much like this one. Just with perhaps a bit less googly eyed yearning in-game to back it up. 

I mean we all KNOW its true. Fjorester isn’t my favorite ship because of fandom, but I still technically would be chill if it were endgame. I don’t wanna shit on the ship itself is all, but I’m game for people to come tell me if he’s said as much (i don’t think he has tho)
