A lovely little Blue Tit at my bird feeder. It's snuck in between the usual Italian Sparrow mob and the Great Tits.
I love how they hold the seed between their feet to peck away at it.
Double puff, just to be safe.

Hummers!
I spied a female broadtailed hummingbird at the nectar feeder yesterday morning, so I quickly set up the camera to see if I could get a video of her. The male came by, and the camera caught him at the feeder. I don't know if this is the same pair from last year, but I'd like to think so :)
This is the first setup this year for the nectar feeder, so the camera is a bit too high. I'll adjust it lower for the next time.
I use the video option because it runs continuously once motion is detected and can get 120 frames per second. The "burst" setting on the photo option only captures 10 frames in a second, and it can take longer than a second to enable once motion has been detected. Now that I know the hummers are here for the summer, I'll switch back and forth between video and photo to see if I can get some better stills.
Just a little video I made for fun of some of the reasons I love this tiny guy so very much.
