The Art of Giving Gift Vouchers

Giving a gift voucher always makes me feel like I've slightly failed to find a great present although that said I'm always delighted to receive one, it's much better than getting something that you really don't want.

A great way to make giving a gift voucher a touch of excitement is 'rebranding' a bar of chocolate & hiding the gift voucher inside - a la Charlie & the chocolate factory!

Firstly I printed happy birthday on white paper using lots of different fonts in different sizes & used this to wrap the bar ( gluing the sides to make a pouch.

Put the unwrapped bar in the pouch & seal.

Then measure the front of the bar & design your wrapper so that the name or message sits right down the middle.I love this fluoro paper & this main font is Budmo.

Finally wrap it up, insert the gift voucher & tie with some white butchers string adding the gift tag as the final touch .

Birthday Map Wrap !

Half the joy of giving & receiving gifts is the wrapping  & I love how simple this is.

I bought a pile of old ariel maps at a car boot sale to use as wrapping however you could easily use an out of date road map or atlas. The gift tag is just their initial enlarged & printed on card, use a hole punch ( centred ) & attach with grey & white butchers string.

It works for boys & girls so I'm not scrambling around at the last min to try & find something that's not pink....
