what do you think of ryusoulger so far? i love so many of the ideas and concepts they're playing with and i hope they expand on them

i think it’s... a rather bizarre show. i’d gotten used to sentai being a bit more... focused, i guess? in this new day & age. and seeing it return to 90s-esque “the premise is kinda all over the place” & “absolute tonal rollercoaster” is really jarring. i thought the first 10 eps were pretty weak which is why i fell behind, but. i am glad that i decided to catch up bc it’s getting a lot better, i feel.

surprisingly i like canalo - on paper he sounded tiring but he’s pretty cute actually - and while i wish the characters were a little better developed in general i’m growing fond of all of them. and i have genuine hope that the plot-related stuff might turn out interesting for the first time in years. 

it just seems like the possibilities here have a lot of potential, and are being set up fairly well. i legit want to know the deets behind the masters and the maybe sketchy older tribe members and i’m so like... please don’t string me along this yr sentai! i crave the fun, wild twists!
