Okay so to answer this headcanon I’m going to assume both boys aren’t bi themselves because otherwise they probably wouldn’t think much of it. Personally I headcanon they are both Bi or Pan. Leaning more towards Pan for John and Bi for Arthur. I imagine canon John is actually Pan but doesn’t realise it because he never gets a chance to explore the feelings so he would probably label himself bi-curious. But for all intents and purposes they are both straight and dating a Fem!s/o in this scenario.
Okay maybe John’s bi-curious because I can’t help myself…

Arthur:
Arthur’s first thought when you tell him you’re bi is that now he has twice the potential threats to his relationship
He knows it’s unhealthy AF
But he can’t help it
He loves so hard
He’s always so worried about not being enough or good enough for you
So to learn you have a whole other preference for something he definitely can’t be just throws him slightly
You have to reassure him constantly that being bi doesn’t make you more or less likely to cheat
It doesn’t mean you’re walking around objectifying everyone either
You’re a normal person
You just happen to find women attractive too
After he thinks about it logically he feels silly for how he reacted
He has a few questions
But mostly he is super supportive
He figures there is no reason it should impact his relationship
He asks what it is you like about women
You reply probably the same things he does
This makes him nervous because he can’t change himself to please you
He likes the obvious things that generally make a woman, a woman
Such as her private parts
But more than that he likes how soft their skin is
How good they smell
How kind and compassionate they always seems to be
He tries to emulate those things to make you happy
Taking regular baths and making time to ask if you’re okay and talk through things you might be upset about
He asks a lot if there is anything specific you want or need from him
Because he can’t stand the thought of you feeling as though you’re missing out on something
He tries to be as sensitive and compassionate as a female lover would be
Because when he see’s you confiding in the other women he feels pangs of jealousy
He wants you to feel comfortable to tell him anything
He wants to be your confidant
You have to remind him that you still need friends outside of your relationship
Generally he doesn’t think about your sexuality a lot after the shock wears off
But it’s in these moments that he’s reminded and it causes him awful feelings of guilt and confusion
John
John has a million questions
When did you realise?
How did you know for sure?
Have you ever acted on it?
Did people treat you different?
You start to wonder if maybe there’s more to his questions than general curiosity about your life
But you push it aside
He is really interested in whether or not you’ve ever slept with another woman
How would that even work?
He is literally that one insufferable person at a party that doesn’t realise how offensive he’s being with his questions
Which one of you is the yee and which one is the haw?
You don’t mind because he’s your partner
But you would have socked him in the nose long ago if he was just a random person
He doesn’t think that side of you bothers him at all
But when he see’s you getting tipsy and leaning on one of the other women for support he goes full idiot
Storming over and pulling you away from them
Glaring
Telling you to stop ‘being all over them’ in the same way he would if you had leant on a man
He get’s jealous reallyyy easily so he needs lots of reassurance you’re not looking at anyone else regardless of gender
He jokes about having a threesome a lot
While you sometimes consider it to humour him
You know deep down it won’t be as sexy as he thinks it will
You’d get abut 10 minutes in and he’d realise kissing another woman makes him just as jealous as kissing another man
He is over all more supportive than Arthur would be of the idea
But he probably doesn’t go out of his way to show how supportive he is like Arthur does
It’s a quiet sort of respect you can just feel without it needing to be talked about
He still has his moments of insecurity
But all he needs is a kiss, hug and reminder that he’s the only person you’re lusting after
