New pedal day! Very stoked on this stuff. This is my second Bit Commander and I've been keen on the Sick As. Most stoked about the Universe 25 from @robotgraves though. Finally able to take it for a spin and that is super exciting.

This pedal is a “ monophonic analog guitar synthesizer with four octaves of vintage square wave synth tones” according to Earthquaker Devices on their website

It is a decent looking pedal, definitely not busy looking. It has the input and output on the top of the pedal, which can help in optimizing space on one’s pedal board. It takes 9 volt DC power supply, which is standard. 

It has 6 knobs, Sub: Two octaves down level, Down 1: One octave down level, Up 1: One octave up level, Base: Squared input signal level, Level: Master volume, and Filter: Tone control, more highs clockwise, more warmth counter clockwise

According to BestGuitarEffects.com, “The Bit Commander’s tracking is very fast and responsive, keeping up with fast single note runs, legato playing, slides, hammer-ons and pull-offs, string bends, and vibrato... [This pedal] is loaded with exceptional monophonic synth sounds, octave up fuzz, and gritty square wave distortion.”

When asking around my store, Alva’s Music in San Pedro, I have gotten mixed reviews. The younger musicians were singing the pedal’s praises, while the older classical guitarist was rolling his eyes and questioning its existence.
