bitchkiller (sirius black/barty crouch jr)
“This is where you wanted to take me?” Barty questions incredulously, face screwing up in judgement.
Sirius rolls his eyes, tugging at his wrist as he stomps his way to the ticket counter.
“Could you pretend not to be a pompous ass for one second?” Sirius hisses, as they join the small queue.
The bright light of the neon sign shines over the pathway behind them.
Sirius tilts his head up and squints at the blocked letters before decisively nodding as he shuffles himself and Barty when the line shortens.
“This is dumb, it’s cold and raining and this shirt is silk!” Barty growls out, nose upturned as he watches the muggles chattering loudly around him.
Some of them holding large buckets of a yellow puffed up snack with abnormally large drinks.
“London Cinema,” Barty reads the sign out loud, “Grease showing at 17h00.”
Sirius snaps his head over to Barty from where he was craning it over the queue of people.
“How’d you know that?” He demands.
Barty points to the sign in confusion before Sirius’ agitated expression dissolves.
Sirius sighs, grabbing Barty’s hand in his own as he scuffs his feet against the pavement.
“They show movies,” Sirius explains and with Barty’s confused frown he elaborates further.
“Like the moving pictures, but it’s a story” Sirius mumbles, turning bashful as he speaks.
Barty tugs his hand once to gain his attention, “you took me to see moving pictures?” He asks with a small smile.
Sirius shrugs, looking anywhere but at Barty.
“It sounds stupid when you say it like that,” Sirius mumbles.
“No!” Barty says hastily before he reddens in embarrassment, “I-I like it” he admits in a whisper.
They share a small smile as they continue to move with the line, hands intertwined and smiles on both of their faces.
