Why does no one talk about how it is technically Barbra's fault Gunmar got out of the Darklands?

I've seen a few people mention that their dislike of her stems from her being a bad parent, but not a single soul mentions the prior 😭 if she had not run upstairs with the shovel and knocked Angor Rot out of the stasis trap, he would not have gotten into trollmarket and killed Arrrghh, causing Jim to go into the Darklands on his own.

While I get she ran upstairs with good intentions, she handled that sooo poorly, as well as when she found out that Jim was the Trollhunter for the second time. She did a lot more harm than good imo

Here’s a thought, remember when Vendel was showing Jim those magic stones that came from past Trollhunters?

What if that practice isn’t just a Trollhunter thing. Like it’s a funerary practice of troll kind. To give one’s kin the honor of bearing a mystic stone that originates from their body, containing a magic born from their personality/abilities after their passing.

In the hope that such a stone and it’s magic would be used by their loved ones so that they may continue to fight and assist from beyond the grave.

Ohhhh, I like that idea! It's sorta like when people get pendants with their loved ones ashes in it. 🤔

Oh, that makes it even more devastating when a troll dies by sunlight. In this au their bodies don't retain their original properties like it would from dying any other way, so loved ones can't get the stone.

All this talk of honor that’s deeply ingrained in your Trollhunters AU Trolls makes it sound like Gunmar and Bular are much more layered than our usual blood thirsty Trollish warlords.

Oh yeah! I'm a sucker for making things morally grey instead of black and white. Don't get me wrong, Gunmar and Bular are both still brutal, but they're not monsters in the way the show depicts them. They don't exactly get redeemed in my au, just better understood!
