Bite Me, Hate Memes was creative—I’ve never read anything like it. However, with the way it was written, sometimes i couldn't understand what was being said and who was speaking. Draco was very talkative but the plot seemed rushed a bit like it was thrown together at the last minute. I loved how the characters were most IC—aside from Draco, that is—and how even at the end, they "hate" each other. It definitely made me laugh... but Ron/Pansy is just a little shudder inducing.

First and foremost, this fic could have been cut in half and would still carry the same amount of important content and likely be a lot better. Though its tone was refreshing and witty, and admittedly well written, its ramble-factor was mind-boggling. The unrelated side tangents that at first, I thought to be cute and amusing, were also constant; positively every other paragraph, and by the time I was a third of the way in I wanted to strangle someone (often times, Draco,) screeching "SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY." Because of this, and the rather thin plot content, the story dragged with repetitive kicks at the 'let's-be-funny-and-random' can.
That being said, the author is talented. There are some lines and segments that are pure gold, and I have to appreciate the dedication behind keeping Draco a delightful arse and a half. However, as much as it pains me to say, the Silver Trio "Best Friend Fuck" relationship was a bit stereotypical and, curse my hypocritical mouth but, smut-hungry. I just couldn't shake the feeling that the narrator was in many ways putting herself in Pansy's shoes, and got off on it. And to be clear, I am in no way opposed to the three of them being sexually open and frisky, (they are Slytherins, after all), but this was a tad over the top, mentioned far too frequently, and not entirely realistic.
Putting that aside, the rest of the story was decent. Harry and Draco had a good dynamic and I was pleased with the ending—light-years away from a fairytale, but proof that even the worst of blackened hearts have soft, frilly, candy-coated secrets stowed safely away in the far-off crevices of their beings, and yet, ever present.

I like pir8fancier's Draco, and this one, even if he's "arrogant, charming, irritating as all fuck, volatile, sexy, and full of sass", it's hard for me not to be fond of him. The Draco-Pansy-Blaise relationship here is nothing like I've read before. They're taking the "(best)friends for benefits" thing to a whole new perspective or context, I guess. Back to Harry and Draco: they're co-workers, hate each other's existence but they still shag. You gotta give it to the author for her concept of the Hate Memes. All good stories need something to be unique, to stand out on it's own and this fic leaves me with something to remember.
