It's been a year ! Holy fuck it's been a year and ideas keep on flowing :D
Okay okay okay ! So, I have things to share and say and wow i need to calm down, let's keep things organized here :')
In honor of the 1st anniversary of whatever this project is called, i will organize some things and share some new infos since i've been quiet lately (only because school needs my attentiion also). Everything will be down below !
But in short, Thank you SO MUCH for the support ! Seeing that people are interested in this or any other things that i do on this blog means so much to me !
Here's a plan of what's to come in the following days for the event :
Voiceclaims are coming ! A compilation of voices for some characters will come and with that, a special animatic :)
Comics are coming ! And I don't mean separate individual stories, I mean multiple comic strips with an overarching plot !
QnA ! Interaction with characters. I highly encourage you to use the ask box, either for characters or for me hehe
More characters, concept and infos ! Of course :) But, I'll tell you right away on who I've been working on : Ji Fa (Wu Wang), Deng Chanyu, Jiang Ziya, Shen Gongbao, etc... And here are some sneak peak :)
I'm also working on documenting about all that I made so far, making charater pages and a timeline too :)
I don't want to plan something big yet, like a DTIYS or merch as it is something time consuming, and i need time for school now :')
But lemme know if you would be interested in this or suggest something else.

I wonder what was it about Ao Bing in Investiture of the Gods that inspired retellings where he and Nezha are friends (or lovers) because I don't see this energy for Biyun and Caiyun—the disciples of Shiji Niangniang.
Before Ao Guang threatened Li Jing and Yin, Nezha accidentally kills Biyun, and then he knocked Caiyun out cold because he didn't want to get into more trouble and thought violence was the solution in this situation. How Nezha dispatches these two was described very briefly, like his fight with Ao Bing, but I guess Biyun and Caiyun must've seemed unimportant in the overall story since they aren't the reason Nezha had to kill himself.
The only retelling I know of that mentions Biyun and Caiyun is New Gods: Nezha Reborn. One of the assassins working under Ao Guang was Caiyun, and she wanted to kill Li Yunxiang to avenge the deaths of her co-disciple and master at the hands of Nezha.
I think about the retellings where Nezha befriends Ao Bing instead of killing him, or they become friends after Ao Bing comes back to life, and I wonder if Biyun and Caiyun ever show up there. Were they spared as well? Did they become Nezha's allies? I guess I'll only know when more translations come forth.
some more doodles - with comments cause i've got a lot to share... (note that its still concept and things are prone to change) so here are things i am considering
i very much envision Nezha fighting rollerskate style, i know there is a full arsenal at his disposition but i think it would be visually interesting to see him skate around. i'll try do some animation test when i'll have the time for it but right now, i'll just add protection pads. therefore his design will get an update.
first doodle of adult ao bing when he gets deified. showing it mostly for expression so yeah, very much pissed, very much passive aggressive, if he could kill nezha, he would and he ain't afraid of telling it. love the sass. i need to draw dragons as practice...
children from left to right : Caiyun, Nezha, Ao Bing (yes), Biyun. it's mostly a height comparison and testing dynamic... So yes Nezha and Ao Bing are childhood friends (if we can call it that) and yes probably Biyun and Caiyun would maybe join their group. I will work on a design for these two with Shiji (and other adults in nezha's life). Speaking of it...
Jinzha and Muzha ! Not. I hate this attempt. Love the attitude and the eyes but hate their designs VERY MUCH. AT LEAST it gives me a direction for Li Jing and his wife.

(NOTE : i have a vague idea for shiji, yay ^^ as for huang tianhua... i'm searching for references but it's hard to see a style direction for him yet. i have a concept for him but i still need to recognize his most notable features for now...)
