Legit hobbyists all say that they encourage cheaper legit dolls being bought instead of recasts but they won't actually interact with you if your doll or accessories didn't cost an arm and a leg. I bought a cheap legit so that I wouldn't be shunned in the hobby but I just got ignored anyways. I didn't make a single friend when I really needed one. I regret my choice now because I'm realizing that people like that will never truly accept me no matter what I do. It hurts.
Dear Anon, I took the time to make this reply personal because of what Iread in your confession. I don’t know you and you don’t know me, I don’t knowif anything anyone says it’s true or not (that’s the point of being Anon),but at the same time I’m not stupid and I like to use common sense and reallife experience to detect trolls, and I believe you when you say you brought itbecause you needed a helping hand from a friend and they ignored you (hashappened too many times before), but I don’t think it was because people willnever truly accept you no matter what you do.
You’re a person, a human being, agood one, no one it’s inherently evil, especially for the price tag on a doll. You deserve friends, you deserve people that appreciate you for who you are andwhat you bring to this world. Sure there will be a pack of elitists andantirecasters or proartists out there to bring you down each time, but you’vegot to get along with the right people, you got to be strong and show them themiddle finger if necessary. I know what I’m saying it’s very unprofessional ofme as an Admin, but it just hurt me since the moment I joined this hobby to seepeople get cheap legit dolls (that are equal or better in quality than mostexpensive companies) and get trashed by “the big volks names” on major forumslike doa, or other social media.
No one deserves to be treated like shit, andthis goes a long time before recasts. Now people thinks in the short term andthat only recasts are “hated” but elitists hated on cheap or chinese or “offthe grid companies” owners and abs bjds or any vinyl that wasn’t volks dd (evenif also japanese, like obitsu) long before. You need only to browse the old confessionblogs out there, on their archives (unfortunately this blog is not “that old”)from 2008 to 2012 to see from first “sock dress” and “crayon faceups” to “cheapresinsoul legits” and “cheap fur wigs” how artistic skills have being shatteredby people who is so insecure about themselves that the only way they have tolive their daily basis is by trashing others into thinking they’re above them.So if you ever need a friend again anon, just reach for us, all pro recastcommunity members alike, we are here for all the anons who got (just like you)on the same situation. And we’re not leaving. <3
