I thought I wanted to get a certain doll. While looking, I ran across a monstrosity of a fixerupper. It's almost the exact opposite of what I want but somehow I can't get it out of my head. I'm tempted to buy the poor thing and learn how to fix it even though it's not at all what I had planned on.

I’ve been neglecting tumblr as usual so here’s a post of my projects for 2022 so far!

-LLT Ballerino shattered doll repair project

-Moonlit Wonder merman project (he’s just a torso but so cool! Also some broken bits)

-Gokidoll Miaow to be my kitty Cleo! Took 4 months to get here and I survived the wait

-Haru getting a new wig for once

-Other Soom Dia getting cool armor that I forgot I had

I mentioned a bit ago that I had a longing for a deep restoration job.  Thanks to @sicktress‘ recent post about gold paint, I remember that I have an imperfect cast of  @batchixdolls‘ Zero head.  One that I wanted to paint gold, but could not find a paint that worked. (As a side note; that is saying something because my partner pretty much collects metallic paint.)  YES!

And while I’m brushing the dust off this account; I am a monster.  I have not touched Fusilli in a year.  Legitimately, a year.  There is a lot of guilt there.  The worst part, the very worst part, is my roommate’s 16 year old daughter.  Every once in awhile she sighs that, “The face in the bathroom is my favorite of your dolls.”*  Damn, right in the feels there.

*I usually do projects in the bathroom because the light is great, there is water to clean up, and that’s where my UV curing lamp is plugged in.  Fusilli’s head is propped up in the cubby of cabinet next to the shower so I have to face my failings every day.

Yarn for my next two crochet projects: left one for a super secret There Be Dolls event, right one of my incoming Ena - a Bastian girl by Little Cosmos Dolls. I am going to make her a cuddly top.

My Wol head from @armeleia arrived this morning!! Plus the eyes and hair wefts I ordered for the head!!! I love the head so much plus the weight just is so comforting to hold (if that makes any sense). Now I'm saving up for the body I still have no idea how I want this doll to present their gender do I go nonbinary, agender, boy, girl, genderfluid?????
